The Super Falcons are through to the knock out stages, after a solid defensive performance to draw with Ireland, giving them their ticket to advance. Nigeria are now set to face the formidable fourth world ranked England side, on Monday the 7th of August.

 

Morocco squeezed passed Colombia in a riveting match, giving them the three points needed to advance. Morocco will have to continue their incredible efforts when they take on fifth world ranked France, on Tuesday the 8th of August.

 

Netball World Cup

 

The Netball World Cup has undoubtedly been thrilling, featuring numerous teams displaying their dominance on the court.

 

Zimbabwe’s confident 75-48 win over Barbados at 11am today saw the Gems secure the 13th position for the tournament.

 

Meanwhile, at 4 pm (SA time), an eagerly awaited matchup is on the horizon as the She Cranes prepare to take on the formidable Malawi Queens. This game holds utmost importance for both teams, as a victory is the key to advancing to the fifth-place play-off.

 

Later in the day, at 6 pm, the Proteas will face Tonga, with their eyes fixed on securing a top 5 finish. A successful outcome would bring them one step closer to the ultimate glory of becoming world champions.
